About the artist
richard bergen
I am a Kansas native. My father Dr. Richard Bergen was an artist and teacher and I have been an artist all my life. I have a Masters of Fine Arts Degree from Kansas State University.
My art has many influences, from nature, the people around me, my travels in the states and abroad.
I make new discoveries in my technics and approach to my artworks everyday.
I believe an artist has to stay open minded and ready for change to create work that is relevant to his time and beyond.
I have had the joy of working on large Public Works to creating paintings and sculptures for individuals.
